5* This tale starts at a pace that doesn't let up until the end. Sooo glad Bree's still around. Even though the Bree Taggart series has ended, these are practically BT books, just with a few additions and slightly less focus on family, now that Bree has settled a tad more into being both guardian to her nephew and niece, and LEO. Despite her only just being married, there's no time for a honeymoon as as usual, she's involved in a storyline that starts with a bang, and gets more and more complicated. There's a lot happening with the case, and with Bree's family being threatened (which doesn't slow her down, as Adam's around, as is good old Dana) and the pace doesn't let up. There's enough red herrings that I totally missed the baddie getting a mention, and said mention was low key enough that nothing twigged.
