ARRANGED MURDER by Faaiza Munir
3.5* Shades of Bend It Like Beckham but with fewer laughs. This is readable, but I think you'll find it easier to understand the dynamics if you're vaguely, vaguely 'Desi'. I liked that the Muslim females were quite progressive, and that their late dad was, too. Their mum seems a bit 'whatwill the neighbours say?' but also protective of her daughters. Hafsa, the youngest, is Jasminder Bhamra from BILB, without so much ss even sn attempt at pretending otherwise.
